Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring comprehensive facilities for workers across the province. In a recent statement, she announced that top educational institutions would soon be accessible to the children of every worker in Punjab, reflecting a strong commitment to educational advancement.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund has initiated a program inviting applications from workers to benefit their children. This initiative aims to facilitate the admission of children of industrial and mines workers into seven campuses of COMSATS University, with the Punjab government covering all tuition fees.
Registered workers are encouraged to submit their applications to various campuses within specified deadlines: Islamabad campus by July 9, Lahore campus by July 17, Wah Cantt and Abbottabad campuses by August 4, Vehari and Attock campuses by August 11, and Sahiwal campus by August 15. This move is expected to significantly support the education of workers’ children, providing them with greater opportunities for academic success.
