Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to compile and verify accurate data on water requirements based on population across the province. Chairing a meeting in Lahore on safe drinking water, she reviewed water supply projects in Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Murree, and Attock.
According to Radio Pakistan, she ordered the immediate provision of 21 water bowsers to Rajanpur and directed arrangements for water tanks in Murree. The Chief Minister emphasized that every household in Punjab should have access to safe drinking water, with areas facing severe water shortages given top priority.
The meeting also approved a pilot project for drinking water supply in Chak Jhumra and suburban areas of Faisalabad.
