Chief Minister Balochistan Announces New Oxford Scholarship for Baloch Students

London, At the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) Endowment Fund’s Prestigious Annual Dinner held in Oxford, UK, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, unveiled a new scholarship initiative for Baloch students to study at Oxford University. The announcement reflects a significant commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and addressing educational disparities among Balochistan’s youth.

According to Press Information Department, the dinner drew approximately 150 notable attendees, including former Caretaker PM and Senator Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, and Professor Kamal Munir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cambridge, along with senior academics from the University of Oxford and prominent Pakistanis in the UK. In his speech, CM Bugti emphasized the pivotal role of education in fostering democracy and societal progress, stating that the scholarship represents a fundamental step towards educational equality and empowerment in Balochistan.

The scholarship aims to provide more than just financial aid; it is part of a broader strategy to link local educational aspirations with global standards, thereby transforming and empowering the youth of Balochistan.
