Art Exhibition in Bahawalpur Highlights Kashmir Struggle

Islamabad: An art exhibition was held at the University College of Art and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. According to Radio Pakistan, the event saw teachers and students showcasing their creative skills to depict Indian oppression and tyranny against the Kashmiri people. The artworks presented during the exhibition focused on human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, the atrocities committed by Indian forces, and the ongoing freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people. Principal of the University College of Art and Design, Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, remarked on the significance of August 5, 2019, when India revoked the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, leading to a new wave of lockdowns and violence in the region.
