In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly denounced the confiscation of land and properties of Muslims by the authorities in the territory.
In their statements, incarcerated senior leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Shabbir Ahmed Shah said the eviction drive is meant to facilitate the creation of private land banks and hand them over to outsiders for colonalization of Jammu and Kashmir and reduce Kashmiri Muslims to second class citizens.
The APHC leaders urged political leadership, civil society and rights groups to raise their voice against India’s nefarious designs aimed at changing the demography of occupied Kashmir.
The leaders warned India of strong reaction by the Kashmiri Muslims who are feeling increasingly insecure and frustrated due to Modi regime’s anti-Kashmir measures.
Meanwhile, Indian troops, police and paramilitary personnel continued their cordon and search operations in several areas of the Jammu region and the Kashmir Valley.
The New Delhi-controlled Waqf Board has constituted district level committees to take over control of all shrines and Masjids in the occupied territory.
