Analyst emphasizes the importance of political stability for economic development

Political stability is vital for progress and prosperity of any country. The nation is anxiously watching toward its leaders as Pakistan is passing through a difficult phase. Incumbent government is trying to create political stability in the country in order to improve the economy and resolve the problems of the people. The recent announcement of agitation and sit-in by a political party will push the country into more economic crisis. Furthermore, measures are needed to strengthen economy of the country to provide maximum relief to the masses. Some political leaders are trying to create chaos and anarchy in the country to take political benefit. However, in the larger interest of the country such attitudes should be shunned. The government on the other hand offered the Jamat-e-Islami to sit with the government to steer the country out of crises. For the purpose, government has constituted a three-member committee comprising three senior ministers. All political parties and national institutions should focu s on developing consensus as Pakistan is passing through a critical juncture and economic cannot be achieved without political stability.
