400-Bed Polyclinic-II Hospital Set to Open by March 2023: Mustafa

Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has announced that the 400-bed Polyclinic-II hospital will be operational by March 23 next year, following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Radio Pakistan, Mustafa Kamal, while addressing media personnel in Islamabad, stated that the hospital will be built at a cost of sixteen billion rupees. It will feature modern facilities to address current healthcare needs. He revealed that orders for the equipment and medical devices have been placed, with the majority of the shipment already arrived.

The Minister also disclosed that the bidding process for the construction of King Salman Hospital has commenced. He mentioned that the contract for this project is expected to be awarded within fifteen days, with its first phase anticipated to be completed in two years.

In response to a query, Mustafa Kamal highlighted that the initial recommendations from the inquiry committee investigating the PIMs fire have been executed. He further assured that the recommendations from the committee's second report will be implemented thoroughly.
