39th Death Anniversary of Urdu Writer Qudrat Ullah Shahab Observed

Islamabad: The 39th death anniversary of eminent Urdu writer and civil servant Qudrat Ullah Shahab was observed on Thursday. Shahab, an influential figure in Urdu literature, was remembered for his contributions to both the literary and civil service sectors of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Qudrat Ullah Shahab was born in Gilgit in 1920 and became best known for his autobiography “Shahab Nama.” His literary work extended beyond this notable autobiography, as he made significant contributions in both English and Urdu for contemporary newspapers and magazines associated with the Pakistan Writers Guild. Shahab’s legacy continues to influence writers and readers alike. He passed away in Islamabad on this day in 1986, leaving behind a rich literary heritage.
