Istanbul (IRNA) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said his country will draw lessons from the July 15 coup attempt and will not allow it to happen again.
He made the remarks during his participation in the first fast-breaking (iftar) program of the relatives of martyrs and veterans, organized by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies in Istanbul on Saturday.
We hope that we draw a lesson from July 15 and we will not allow it to happen again, Erdogan said, adding: If Turkey is fighting against terrorist organizations more decisively than in the past, the July 15 victory has had a great effect on this.
Ankara has accused the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) of orchestrating last July's coup attempt in Turkey, which martyred 250 people and injured nearly 2,200, Anadolu Agency reported.
